1. G3 Composite Cubic Bezier Curves: We present an algorithm for creating planar G2-splines curves using rational Bezier cubic segments. The splines interpolate a sequence of points, tangents and curvatures. In addition each segment has two more geometric shape handles. These are obtained from an analysis of singular point curve. The individual segments are convex, but zero curvature can be assigned at junction point, hence inflection points can be placed where desired but cannot occur otherwise. (With Richard R. Patterson and Marco Paluszny)
2. The Singular Point of an Algebraic Cubic: Given a segment of a singular algebraic cubic, with prescribed tangent contact at two points, formulas are given for the coordinates of its singular point. The coordinates of the singular point are expressed as rational functions of degree at most five in the coefficients of the cubic. These lead to analytic expressions for control points and weights in terms of the implicit description of the cubic.(With Marco Paluszny)
